Dear colleagues, dear friends,
This is with much regret that the organising and science committees of OCEANOISE2020 decided to postpone the celebration of the event that was scheduled next May. In the current planetary circumstances, we believe this is the only reasonable decision we could take. The priority is to keep everyone safe and build tomorrow together. There is no doubt that science and technology are to play a major role in the new challenges humans have to face in the future. The necessary balance between biodiversity and human health is slowly becoming an evidence to society. This has certainly taken too long and the uncontrolled destruction of natural habitats may explain in part the coronavirus outbreak and may as well anticipate new pandemics to come. Let’s continue developing together OCEANOISE as a platform of scientific constructive innovation and exchange to equally serve society and biodiversity needs.
OCEANOISE2021 is already on its way and will welcome you all May 24-28 2021.
With warm wishes,
Michel André, on behalf of OCEANOISE
